Goin2Travel Vacation Rentals

Goin2Travel is a vacation rental directory that features some of the world’s most unique vacation rentals. The site eliminates any middlemen as the properties are listed by the owners directly. This helps you save a lot of money as well.
When they talk about some of the most unique rentals, they really mean it. Check out the Hawaii vacation rentals or Maui vacation rentals and you will realize what they mean.
Their directory is easy to use, comprehensive and allows you to easily find the rental property of your choice. In fact, as a property owner its quite easy to submit your property to their directory for listing and it doesn’t cost you much at all. Paying US$155 for a Bronze Membership or US$275 for a Gold Membership, its a bargain, considering that the returns would be quite significant. A good ROI in my opinion.

Beautiful Australia: Sydney & Melbourne
Sydney and Melbourne are the two most populous cities of Australia.
Sydney is located on Australia’s south-east coast. The city is built around Port Jackson, which includes Sydney Harbour, leading to the city’s nickname, “the Harbour City”. It is Australia’s largest financial centre and is home to the Australian Stock Exchange. Sydney’s leading economic sectors include property and business services, retail, manufacturing, tourism, and health and community services.

If you happen to visit Sydney, you might want to refer CheaperThanHotels for some great deals on Sydney Hotels, especially the Darling Harbour Hotel. Darling Harbour throbs with activity day and night and has developed into one of Sydney’s largest dining, shopping and entertainment areas.
Melbourne on the other hand is a major centre of commerce, industry and cultural activity. The city is often referred to as Australia’s sporting and cultural capital and it is home to many of the nation’s most significant cultural and sporting events and institutions. Melbourne is notable for its mix of Victorian and contemporary architecture, its extensive tram network and Victorian parks and gardens, and its diverse, multicultural society. CheaperThanHotels has some great deals on Melbourne Hotels as well.
Places to stay in during the English Premier League

If you’re a football fan like me, you must be watching the English Premier League. It may be quite difficult to get Premier League tickets, especially to the big clubs. It is advisable to book a long time in advance. Alternatively, you may like to do a tour of one of the famous stadiums. Most of the big clubs offer stadium tours where you can get a behind the scenes look at the players’ changing rooms, the facilities and if you’re lucky a chance to sit in the Manager’s match-day seat!
The 3 big cities in Britain which has a host of great clubs are:
- London which hosts Chelsea, Arsenal, Fulham, and Tottenham
- Manchester which hosts Manchester, and Manchester United, and
- Liverpool which hosts Liverpool
A great place to look at for making your hotel reservations is CheaperThanHotels.co.uk. You can get great deals for London Hotels, Manchester Hotels, Liverpool Hotels, and a host of other places. Not only can you make last minute reservations but can make reservations up to a year in advance. You get good discounts on group bookings. Not to forget, they have some good tie-ups with various car rental services as well.

AskLaila: Yet another Indian Search Engine
I’ve come across another search engine, called AskLaila, which currently focuses on Bangalore only. Its founders have a fair deal of IT experience behind them.

The search engine has similarities with Guruji, which was reviewed earlier. You can specify what you’re looking for and pops comes the results with address, phone number and even an open to SMS the details to your phone, all for free!
The database doesn’t seem to be quite comprehensive right now, but that can be excused since the site is still in Beta. The plans are there to expand to several Indian cities and hopefully along with that the database will get quite comprehensive.
Given the current choices of local search engines cum directory services, it looks quite promising for Bangalore at least to have all things digitized for easy search and retrieval.
Now…will someone help in getting rid of the power cuts so that all these websites can be accessed!
