As part of any international travel checklist, there must be an item for medical insurance. Many people take this very lightly since they believe they might not require it. No matter how short a duration you travel for, its quite essential that you have medical coverage.

Belur: A Weekend Gateway from Bangalore
The main attraction in Belur is the Chennakesava temple complex which contains the Chennakesava Temple ( dedicated to Lord Chennakeshava , meaning handsome Vishnu) as the centre piece, surrounded by the Kappe Chennigraya temple built by Shantaladevi, queen of king Vishnuvardhana.

Do-It-Yourself Solution for Loose Tooth Caps
Are you wondering why I’m talking about tooth caps and temporary tooth cement in a Travel Blog? Its quite simple and does actually fit well in this blog.

Bangalore Weekend Gateway - Halebidu
Halebidu is just 16 km away from the one more historical place Belur (which I will cover in a separate post shortly). It is well connected by road and rail to Bangalore, Mysore and Mangalore. There are regular buses to Hassan. The distance is 149 km to Mysore and 31 km to Hassan.

Find cheapest airline tickets at iXiGO
One of the comments indicated that there is yet another website which provides unbiased prices – iXiGO.
iXiGO is a travel search engine for Indian consumers and its mission is to aggregate travel information and make it searchable and useful. They call themselves an infomediary. Once you select the route/airline you want to book, you are routed back to the airline website to make the payment.Searches are quite fast on the website and and now they offer SMS based searches.

San Diego City Guide
HotelsByCity.net has over 500 United States Hotel Guides. This particular article reviews the San Diego City Guide.
The guide provides an overview of the city, and provides a fairly comprehensive list of hotels in San Diego. Not only that, the guide provides a list of events that takes place in San Diego every year.
Details about each hotel is very comprehensive. You get to see reviews, photographs, driving directions, and rates for each hotel. You can also check for availability of rooms in these hotels.
All in all, a very nice hotel guide about San Diego. HotelsByCity can add that extra punch to the guide by providing more details about tourist attractions in and around the city. That would make it a complete guide in my opinion.
Weekend Getaway to Wayanad
Wayanad , in the north-east of Kerala, India, was formed on November 1, 1980 as the 12th district, carved out of Kozhikode District and Kannur District. Though the word Wayanad is believed by some to have originated from Vayal (paddy) and Naad (land), ‘Land of Paddy Fields’, some scholars disagree. The region was known as Mayakshetra (Maya’s land) in the earliest records. Mayakshetra evolved into Mayanad and finally to Wayanad. There are many indigenous tribals in this area. It is set high on the majestic Western Ghats with altitudes ranging from 700 to 2100 m.
The 275km distance from Bangalore to Sulthan Batthery, Wayanad was covered in about 7hrs by bus. We stayed at Issac’s The Resort. Some photographs from the trip are shown below. You can see all the photographs at Share-A-Pic.
